Building a Community Website.

Community groups can normally apply for a grant towards the costs of a group having a presence on the internet from your local authority.

The balance can be funded by local advertising. Surplus revenue from local advertising goes back into the group which in turn finances not only the website but the community group in general.

Alternative options is that the local advertising rights are  ran by a third party and they take the profit or loss in the running and maintenance of the site. The community group add, remove , send newsletters, have polls and every other facility including photo galleries without any financial cost. This is by far the preferred option in resident associations, history groups and those with limited funding.

We are very experienced in the building and growth of this type of site. We know the pitfalls as well as the value this type of site has to the local community.

We are happy to let you try and "play around" with a live site. Although test sites, these sites are on the internet where upon you can try one out without any obligation to see if its something for you.

Example1: Sunderland History

Example2: Boldononline
